When should I book my date?
There is really no set answer to this question. Many factors affect Magic Man Mobile DJ's availability, such as event date, time of the event (afternoon or evening), location (local Helena area/within Montana/Surrounding States/ect), what type of event you are hosting, and on what day of the week your event falls. The general rule is - the sooner the better. At times, Magic Man Mobile DJ books events as far as two years in advance, with weddings generally booked anywhere from 6 months to 18 months in advance. At other times, you may be able to book with much less notice, however we don't recommend waiting too long. The further in advance you attempt to book your event, the more likely Magic Man Mobile DJ will be available.

How do I hold my date and "book" with Magic Man Mobile DJ?
To permanently hold or "book" a performance date, a client must sign and return an Entertainment Contract to Magic Man Mobile DJ. The contract must be accompanied by a deposit, in the amount indicated on the contract. This written agreement details all of the pertinent information regarding the event.

When is the final balance due?
Checks, money orders and/or cash payments of the final balance due will be accepted by the week prior to the event.
This is to ensure that on your special day we do not have to discuss with you, or you be stressed by "business" matters. We want your event to be about you, your lasting memories, friends and family, and not about worrying over the "financials".
We are also willing to accommodate any clients who prefer to make several payments over the time period leading up to their event. In this case, we credit your account balance for any payments received and issue you a receipt for such payments. We're very easy to work with! Just call and talk to us about your needs!

What does the fee you quoted me include?
This varies depending on the entertainment package you believe is best suited to your needs. However, all of our packages include a complete professional digital sound system, several hours (based on your agreement) of continuous DJ entertainment and a qualified and knowledgeable entertainer to operate the equipment. We will never charge any hidden costs and any price that is quoted will be the total amount due. (Unless extended services are requested after the completion of the original contract.) We will also not charge for setting up or tearing down the equipment. The Magic Man Mobile DJ entertainer will handle all necessary announcements and will interact with you and your guests in order to create a great party.

Music selection is usually based on three factors. First, you have the opportunity to tell us what you WANT to hear and if there is anything that you DON'T WANT to hear. This gives us the overall framework for the event. From there, your guests' generational musical tastes, requests, and interaction input help determine some of the music selection. Lastly, the DJ's rely on experience to fill in the event's playlist, based on the crowd's reactions and responses throughout the event.
Yes - in addition to our clients' pre-planned request lists, we welcome direct requests from our clients and their guests throughout the event. We attempt to play as many requests as possible, as long as they fall within the clients' guidelines and are appropriate for the event and guests attending.

This varies, since song and event lengths vary; along with event special activities. The average song is 3 ½ minutes in length. That translates into 17 songs per hour, 68 songs in four hours and 85 songs in five hours.

We prefer to meet with our clients as soon as possible in a face-to-face setting (if possible) in order for you to determine if we are a "good fit" for your event's individual needs and personal style! If a face-to-face meeting is impossible, we prefer to have a phone conference (or even a web conference) to acquaint ourselves as best as possible.
When planning such an important and large event, such as a wedding, it can greatly put your mind at ease to "know" and feel a personable connection to your entertainer. Additionally, the sooner the client and entertainer meet, the less future preparation that's required.
Finally, due to our extensive wedding planning and coordination efforts for our clients, after meeting with our event planners and entertainers, many of the other details can sometimes just "fall into place!"
Final planning is generally handled 2-3 weeks prior to the event date. The last thing we want is to bother/stress out our clients the NIGHT before, or even the DAY of, the event with planning that should've been done weeks or even months prior!
However, if circumstances do arise that require impromptu planning for your event, Magic Man Mobile DJ prides themselves on flexibility and openness to change!

Typically, the Magic Man Mobile DJ performers will arrive at least two hours prior to the start time of the event. If additional lighting packages are booked, the arrival time may be extended to three or five hours. We like to be set up, in place, with music playing PRIOR to your guests’ arrival.
Quality is top priority for Magic Man Mobile DJ- from our performances to the equipment that we use. For that reason, we use only the bench mark standard in Professional audio and video equipment. We use JBL and Crown supported sound equipment, Shure wireless microphones, Dell and HP computers, and Martin & American DJ lighting re-enforcement, just to name a few of the well known and reliable companies we purchase from.

Magic Man Mobile DJ uses top quality equipment, which is maintained according to our strict maintenance schedule. For this reason, it is highly unlikely that anything would break or fail to operate properly. However, Magic Man Mobile DJ's carry backup equipment to each performance. In the unlikely event there is a problem, the backup or replacement equipment can be in place in a matter of seconds or minutes, normally without the client even realizing there was a "problem".

Is Magic Man Mobile DJ available if we decide to extend our party?
When it comes to you having the best (longest lasting) party available, we want to make sure that we are available for you! There are several extended party options available. Just ask!
That being said, our time can unfortunately be subject to potential DJ time constraints and the event venue's scheduling constraints. We are flexible though and will work with you and the event venue to fulfill any requests we are able!
